We offer many group and individual programs to help anyone increase or maintain their fitness level. Group fitness classes, included with your membership range from low impact Aqua, Yoga, Tai Chi and Pilates – to high energy Cycle, Circuit training and Cardio Sculpt. Dance away your stress in a Zumba class, or challenge yourself with an array of Certified LesMills training options: BodyPump, BodyCombat, BodyFlow, CXWorx, RPM (cycling) and more!

Personal Training

Using research based training methods, we work with each individual’s needs to customize a workout plan that provides a safe and effective road to health and fitness. When working with our personal trainers you will receive:

Pilates Reformer
Improve your core strength, muscular endurance, flexibility, and posture by working with one of our Pilates Reformer trainers. Individualized training on the reformer is appropriate for all ages and fitness levels.

Dana Andress, Personal Trainer

Having seen how personal fitness programs changed her own body while in college, Dana decided to begin a career in fitness as a Certified Personal Trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She has worked with people of all fitness abilities, injuries, ages, athletic ability, and prenatal/postpartum clients, helping those individuals lose weight, begin their racing careers, and become healthy mothers.

With a love for her horse, she has worked with other equestrians out of the saddle in order to make them better athletes in the saddle. She is passionate about helping people reach their health and fitness goals and especially enjoy watching them evolve into the person they strive to become. To her, nothing is more rewarding than being able to witness someone’s hard work and dedication lead to success. When not training others, Dana trains herself for various athletic competitions, including road races, trail runs, and triathlons.

Making a difference in people’s lives has been Joe’s passion for the last 18 years as a personal trainer. He believes his role is to educate clients and hold them accountable to the principles of nutrition, strength, and cardiorespiratory fitness.

By implementing this multi-faceted approach to health and fitness, he helps develop strong movement patterns that are essential to life’s activities and sport and gets his clients the results they are looking for. He focuses on transitioning the body out of the slouched, seated position to a state of confident posture and assists clients in working around injury or progressing post-rehabilitation.

He also has great experience in preparing individuals for various athletic competition. His active interests include running, trail running, skiing, hiking, golfing, and spending time with his family.

Amy believes that exercise is a powerful practice that benefits everyone no matter what stage of life they are in. She likes to look at whole body care including strength, flexibility, body alignment, nutrition and cardiovascular health. She makes sure each of her clients gets the most out of their time in the club so they are more able to enjoy activities and life outside of the club. She believes fitness can be fun and wants to make it fun for you!

When she’s not at work she enjoys time with her husband and daughters. They like to go on family hikes on the weekends and love spending time at the coast. With two teenage girls involved in everything from musical theater to gymnastics, they certainly keep her busy!

Mike’s passion for exercise and physical fitness began with an early childhood love for the outdoors; including hiking, rafting, mountain biking and running. While pursuing a degree in exercise physiology at Marquette University, Mike developed a fascination with kinesiology spending most of his time in physical therapy clinics and performance centers. Using the most efficacious, efficient and modern techniques available, he has helped individuals from all walks of life realize their full physical potential and use exercise to increase their well-being.

Whether your goal is to get in shape, run a marathon or just to move and feel better, Mike is eager to train, support, coach and encourage you to success!

Mike enjoys the thrill and adventure of exploring new territories and meeting new people. Whether it be a new hobby with his friends, exotic eateries, music festivals, books or Portland’s cultural activities, learning is his lifelong pursuit.

Sarah began her Love of the Anatomy and Fitness Career in the year of 2000 and has been committed to the health benefits of the fitness industry ever since. This commitment has resulted in Anatomy Degrees, certifications to teach a wide variety of specialties in Yoga, Pilates, and strength training to students of all ages and experience, from early childhood to the golden years. In 2005 Sarah founded and operated a Yoga and Wellness Studio, Poise Studio.

The 10 years while running the Wellness Center, she also created many curriculums for teen empowerment, pre/postnatal Education, senior bone strength, pelvic floor rehabilitation and physical and emotional health in the work place. She believes the disciplines she practices and teaches, when properly practiced; create clarity, balance, and connection with the true self. Her commitment is to always provide training in proper techniques that will assure a deeper connection with the “true self.”

Sarah is a native Oregonian, and has learned by extensive travel that this is where she belongs. She and her three kids enjoy the benefits of this beautiful state year-around. They are snowboarders, surfers, campers, hikers, and true lovers of the outdoors and nature. Sarah’s kids keep her on her toes, and she loves every minute of it.

Diana Halvorsen, Pilates Trainer

Diana’s career in fitness began with a Bachelor of Arts degree in Wellness degree from Black Hills State in Spearfish, SD. Starting from there and throughout her career, she has developed a great passion for health and fitness, spanning many different areas. She enjoys sharing this with members and our local community in a wide variety of movement and fitness modalities.

In addition to leading Pilates activities, she also teaches Zumba, Barre, Yoga BodyFlow, Ballet, and Tap. She looks forward to building individualized programs to improve fitness through finding balance and strength.
