Pool Hours:
Mon-Fri: 5:00 am - 9:30 pm
Saturdays: 7:00 am - 7:30 pm
Sundays: 8:30 am - 7:30 pm

Fall Lifeguard Hours:
Mon-Fri: 4:00 pm - 8:00 pm
Saturdays: 10:00 am - 3:30 pm
Sundays: 12:00 pm - 3:30 pm

INDOOR AQUATICS CENTER is warm, bright and inviting year-round.

Our Outdoor Pools and Patio Spaces are great places to spend sunny afternoons in the warmer months.

INDOOR POOLS are now OPEN - Fall maintenence is completed

The Outdoor Pool is now closed (Open Memorial Day to Labor Day...or longer, weather permitting!). Our outdoor hot tub is open year round.


We have an outstanding staff creating fantastic programs for the Aquatics Center.

The Hawthorn Hammerheads Swim Team program at HFAC is an opportunity for swimmers to develop their strokes and skills year round. We are a non-competitive swim team, however we compete in local mini swim meets in the summer season. The only requirement to join the HFAC Swim Team is swimmers must be able to swim 25 yards of freestyle and backstroke, independently and unassisted.

Dates and Practice Schedule:
Level 1 and Level 2 Practice Times: 4:30-5:30 pm
Level 3 and Level 4 Practice Times: 5:30-6:30 pm
One-to-four practices per week.

Water Safety Program:
Children must be independent in the water without parent and 3 years or older.

Starfish I: Participants will learn to put eyes in the water, starfish float on back with assistance, blow bubbles, and increase comfort and independence in the water.

Starfish II: Participants will learn kicking on back/front half a length of pool w/ kickboard, rollovers into floats, U-turns from wall/step, independent front/back starfish floats, and diving for toys.

Starfish III: Participants will learn independent kicking on back length of pool, rollovers into floats length of pool, diving for toys in deep end with assistance, and side-kicking with assistance.
*All water safety classes will be held in the warm therapy pool.

Stroke Development Program:
Children must have successfully passed all water safety classes or given placement by instructor.

Stingray Level: Stingray level develops swim strokes and kicks, as well as coordination. Swimmers use the therapy pool and lap pool. Stingray graduates are encouraged to join HFAC's Hammerhead Swim Team.
